Hello, I’m Carol Kerry-Green, author of Paranormal and Urban Fantasy fiction and professional genealogist.

I’ve always loved reading and it’s safe to say that I have been an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy all my life. These days I also throw in a bit of Paranormal and Urban fiction and Romance.
I started writing at a young age, in my pre-teens when I was still at junior school! I was inspired to write my first short story after reading “Children of the New Forest” by Frederick Marryat. An historical novel about a group of siblings set during the English Civil War.
I would go on to use the English Civil War as the backdrop for my first time-travel story. And this is possibly where my love for research and history began.
Realising I had a talent and passion for writing, I threw myself into it and wrote Star Trek fanfiction (back when I was at school). I also wrote numerous Fantasy and Science Fiction short stories.
Following a twenty year hiatus I decided to make a return to fiction writing. And thank goodness as I have now thoroughly rekindled my love of writing. I now focus on Paranormal and Urban Fantasy fiction.
For many years, I worked for the Local Authority in the Housing Department. I left this role and became a full-time freelance professional genealogist. As a genealogist I have had to engage in a lot of research. This requires patience, having an eye for detail and a love of history. Three qualities I think have come in very handy as an author.
My first novel, Of Blood and Shadows is available to buy or download now. I am currently working on the follow-up, Living in the Shadows.
I live in Hull, East Yorkshire with my husband, Steve and our cats. The cats can often be found ‘helping’ me write whenever they get the chance.
